Set thumbnails for all assets that allow the default method - "CaptureThumbnail"
The behavior of thumbnails is the same as when capturing, that is, they are not inherited and do not support transactions for "Undo/Redo", however, thanks to this you have a large range of assets for which you can change the thumbnail
Documentation:
Install Thumbnail:
- Right-click on the asset, and in the "AssetAction" category, select "AddCustomThumbnail". You can also access the thumbnail editor from the editor panel - "Tools"
- In the editor window that opens, you will have lines with the selected assets and property boxes for textures from which thumbnails will be borrowed, if you opened the editor through the Tools panel, then you will have to create the first line manually
- You can change the selected assets, change the texture for the thumbnail, delete a line by clicking at the end of the line, or add new ones by clicking under the last line.
- If you set the "One thumbnail for all" checkbox in the lower left corner, then all the selected assets except the first one will lose their texture properties boxes and will accept the same thumbnail as the asset located in the top row. The selected textures for thumbnails when installing the "One thumbnail for all" checkbox will be cached, and when the checkbox returns to its original state, they will be installed in the form in which they were.
- After you have completed the installation of assets and thumbnails for them, click the "Apply" button, then the thumbnails will be applied to the assets. You can close the editor in any way convenient for you:
- Button - "Cancel"
- Close a window or tab
Remove thumbnail:
Right-click on the asset, and in the "AssetAction" category, select "ClearThumbnail".
