Are you creating a realistic open-world simulator? Then you need a realistic sky with stars and moon. That's what this plugin was created for. Just add it to the scene and you get a realistic physical movement of the sun, moon and stars based on astronomical formulas. In addition, plugin supports real moon phases, which depend on the position of sun and moon relative to each other, as well as on the coordinates of the observer. Moreover, you can choose from 2 types of stars: just a texture starmap and generated stars based on the Hipparcos catalog.
