Let’s Scatter is a code plugin that allows you to scatter static meshes and blueprints randomly in a hierarchical structure. You can define a behavior of scattering using a data asset. It comes with many options in the data asset, for example scattering shape, range, placement condition, falloff and distribution method.

Technical Details

Features:

  • Scatter static mesh and blueprint instances randomly in a hierarchical structure in the level.
  • Define a basic behavior of scattering using a data asset, it can be reused for other scatter actors.
  • Modify a distribution behavior using various parameter like scattering shape, range, placement condition (slope, height), falloff and etc.
  • Ignore specific actors from tracing.
  • Placement options for specific actors and physical materials (include or exclude).
  • Instanced static mesh options (collision profile, culling distance, cast shadow).
  • Written in C++ completely for better performance.
