Export PNG is now available for 4.26 and 4.27! You will need it to export heightmaps from this kit! You can use Export PNG for UE4.27, and import it into the landscape/heightmap importing area of the editor as of now, you just CAN NOT yet export your PNGs FROM UE5, that has to be done in one of the other lower versions, like 4.27, 4.26... whatever the HeightMaps Pack is built for. Yes, you can export from 4.27, edit up the heightmap and reimport it into UE5's landscape editor, and it will work. I personally tested that and all packs are now in the process of moving to UE5 releases as well.
More of what you asked for!
HeightMaps Pack 2 is where the first pack left off. Contains 111 ALL NEW HeightMaps to explore, 20 NEW landscape brushes and has 11 maps you can jump right in and play. All HeightMaps are easy to export using the EXPORT PNG which is FREE on the marketplace. This new pack will keep you busy for hours.
PLEASE NOTE that this pack only contains only the HeightMaps and not the landscape materials shown in the videos and demos. The materials shown in the photos and videos are used to show the maps off as a finished product so you can decided if the pack is for you or not and I show you where I bought everything I used in the videos and demos so you can go grab it from the respected dev selling it or use your own.
HeightMaps Pack 2 is a huge collection of 111 4k heightmaps. Each one is carefully designed to take you to another world. If you are making a FPS, RTS, Sci-Fi or Fantasy game, this pack has you covered. This pack is NOT just another HeightMap pack. This pack, like the first one, is carefully put together to allow you to get a lot of great value from it. Nothing has been rushed. Use it for movies, TV, games, a sci-fi project or a relaxing moods generator. Whatever your goal, this pack can save you hours making your own.
The pack includes the following theme landscapes:
- Alien Worlds (15 landscapes)
- Coastlines/Ocean Views/Sea Floors (16 landscapes)
- Dried River Beds (15 landscapes)
- Islands (15 landscapes)
- Lakes (10 landscapes)
- Lava Worlds (11 landscapes)
- Misc Other Worlds (4 landscapes)
- Mountain Deserts (19 landscapes)
- Rivers and Streams (6 landscapes)
The world themes can be used in many more themes beyond what is listed here. You could use a lava world map as a sea floor or a alien world map as a lava world map. It just depends on what you are shooting for. If you have any questions, please post a question in the ASK A QUESTION section and I will try to help.
*** Lava World map in the video/photo used the following packs: Scroched Land for the spline mesh lava falls and the Stylized Lava Land Pack for the main lava field and the glow on the rock. The rocks I used can be found Wasteland Rocks Pack for the rocks in the map. The main landscape over the heightmap I used in the lava scene was the Landscape Master Material V2 which is the material I use in all my scenes you will see in all my Heightmap pack scenes usually. Finally, the sky in the scene used Ultra Dynamic Sky which I can't recommend more. BTW, I'm not being paid to use or recommend these packs, they are only packs I personally use in my landscape needs and which have the best impact on my scenes.
