Colorizer is a material with many exposed parameters, to easily change look of the meshes, without using any external software. I created it for weapons mainly, but it can be used with any meshes, like vehicles or characters. It is great if you want to create variations for your mesh, for example weapons skins. I have also included 91 seamless patterns that can you use - 89 camofulages and 2 simple shape patterns.

If you use patterns or any other image as new texture for your mesh, you can use standard method of projection or Local Space Triplanar Mapping. With Triplanar Mapping you can achieve much better results, especially when your mesh UV's are badly made. And because Triplanar is Local Space, textures will note move when you move or rotate your mesh.

Please have in mind that with Triplanar results are not 100% perfect. There can be some spots where texture is not looking as good as you would expect. The best results you will get with more dense/complicated patterns like camouflages I included. More about Triplanar with examples you will find in documentation.

The another great thing about Colorizer is that it keep edge wear details and scratches of your mesh.

Colorizer have 2 primary modes of working: in the first one, you don't need to do anything with your mesh, but all changes made with parameters will apply to whole mesh.

Second mode is when you load ColorID map for your mesh. This let you separately controls parameters up to 4 areas of your mesh. This is greatly presented with the example pistol I included:

The main body of the pistol is first mask, the manipulators and other small parts are the second mask, finally the grip is the third mask. Some smaller details + barrel are occupied by fourth black mask.

ColorID is simple mask using RGB channels for red, blue and green colors + black color for fourth channel. In the documentation I've included very simple tutorial, which shows how you can create your own ColorID masks for any mesh, using just low-poly version exported from Unreal Engine. You can do it all in free Blender.

I have also included very simple level showcase. Hit play and you will see rotating mesh and buttons to change materials. You can very simply replace this mesh and add/remove materials to the list - also included in documentation.

To have level showcase working as intended, load Colorizer_ExampleMap and in the World Settings make sure GM_ColorizerMode is selected.
