Introducing the Texture Extension plugin, a powerful tool for creating and manipulating Texture2Ds at runtime in Unreal Engine


This plugin is especially useful for developers who need to create Textures based on user screen size or other dynamic factors. It is also designed to be highly extensible and is expected to receive regular updates with new features and improvements.

Some of the features that may be added in the future (though this is not guaranteed) include the ability to read render target pixels, convert render targets to Texture2Ds, read screen and viewport pixels, and perform various mathematical operations on Struct data.

Technical Details

Features: (All Nodes)
  •  Create Texture2D -> Creates an Texture2D at Runtime (You can feed in your own pixel array or let this plugin create one for you! => See Generate Nodes below)


  •  Read Texture2D -> Reads an Texture2D at Runtime


  •  Resize Render Target -> Lets you resize an RenderTarget2D at Runtime


  • Create Rectangle Shape -> Creates an Rectangle Shape which you can feed in the "Create Texture2D" Node


  • Create Circle Shape -> Creates an Circle Shape which you can feed in the "Create Texture2D" Node


  • Combine Shapes -> Lets you combine Shape information! (You can use this node more than once to combine more than two shapes)


  • Random But Nice Color -> Creates a random but still quite nice color


  • Make & Break ShapeInformation (Struct)
