UE5 THIRD PERSON CLIP
This project includes a modular set to build your own American inspired residential houses/suburban environment with all of the assets, materials, plus an example map shown in the images. Includes both exterior and interior modular pieces. Each asset was created to a high quality and standard suitable for AAA quality visuals.
Includes Unreal Engine 5 version utilizing Nanite and Lumen feature set as well as a Unreal Engine 4 version with an example baked lighting scene.
Additional Information:
- Example map comes with 7 houses that have full interiors
- UE5 Nanite and Lumen
- UE4 Fully Baked version available too
- Highly customizable with the ability to apply custom tillable textures for floors, walls and ceilings
- Included example colors for interior and exterior walls; colors are changeable within their material instances
- Building assets are separate from external and internal for better culling and/or making houses with no interiors
- Level Instance (UE5 Only) and Blueprint versions of the houses are available for easy placement
Update 06/03/2023 (UE5 Only):
- Set Sub-Levels on example level to "Always Loaded"
Update 23/02/2023 (UE5 Only):
- Fixed Z-Fighting issue with Garage Porch asset when using Nanite
- Example level now contains all the example houses seperated in individual pieces rather than a Packed Actor for users to see easily how each house was constructed
- Known Issue: Packed Level Actor levels seem to be broken in the latest version of Unreal Engine
Update 28/01/2023 (UE5 Only):
- Fixed crash related to the leaves particle effect by remaking the particle effect in UE 5.1
- Optimised ResidentialHouse2.umap - this should perform better now
- Created new Level Instance Actors for the complete houses which run a lot faster, these are an alternative to the blueprint houses
Update 06/01/2023:
- Fixed error with Blueprint houses causing some of them to place all of their static mesh components at the world origin on runtime
- Fixed Tree Collisions to be more accurate to the tree trunk
- Added separate window frame and window meshes as requested
- Added separate garage door pieces as requested
Known Issues:
- InstancedFoliageActor causes Large actor pre-shadow performance error message to display on ResidentialHouse2 Map. Disable Dynamic Shadows on Foliage Types to remove the error (no noticable performance loss, can be ignored)
- (UE4 Only) The falling leaves particle effects can cause the editor to crash in certain scenarios (Unreal Engine Bug). For now these are used for demonstration uses only.
