What is it?

BitFX is a creative tool for generating an infinite amount of unique sound effects. BitFX will become a frontend tool for metasounds, at the moment there is just 1 master meta sound which has the ability to generate many types of sound effects for your games, such as:

  • Gameplay sounds - lasers, explosions, coins, magic, action fx
  • Characters and creatures
  • World ambience

As you tweak the properties of your sound fx, you can add randomizer modifiers to those properties so that each time your sound is played it can be randomized to any level you desire.

BitFX comes with a blueprint actor interface called Editor Responder, this interface triggers a function as you edit your sounds during PIE. Allowing you to creatively develop and listen to your sounds in the level, on your actors using attenuation/spatialization.

Quickstart

Go to Content/BitFX/StartHere/, right click the BitFX asset and click Run Editor Utility Widget.
