2023-JAN-06 - HotFix Update: fixed problem that vertical target "rods" on display may disappear.

Highly customizable Radar Blueprint (see Overview Map), attach it as a Child Actor to your vehicle.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1) To avoid conflicting overlaps, one custom Collisions Object Channel is used. Please see help in gallery image.

2) Actors that need to be on Radar, needs two Actor Tags. One - "Target", other - one of "Aircraft", "Turret", "Vehicle".

3) In some simplified form, 3D Radar will be added to my existing assets "Vol.1" and "Vol.2". If you own those, you might wait for updates for those assets. But, as mentioned - it will be in some basic form there.

You can change those tags as you wish, and, by following existing logics in Radar Blueprint, add more target classificators. Radar Blueprint is well commented. Please, see DOCS for functions, variables, setup, migration.

Technical Details

Features:

  •  3D radar with colored dots representing targets in surrounding game area.
  • Optional numeric display for count of targets in all defined groups.
  • Several options for visual appearance (base meshes, frame meshes, no mesh, glass, no glass, several grid options)
  •  Option for Radar display in 3rd person view (outside of cockpit).
  • Dummy targets, including moving targets, for demonstration purposes. Can be destroyed.
  • Target respawning option in Demo Map.
  •  Simple armed flying pod, with 3D radar "installed".

Important/Additional Notes: REMEMBER, custom Collision Object Channel is used. Before migrating Radar to other project, it is a good idea to make such Object Channel there as well, before migrating.
